
If you are involved in international solidarity campaigns,
represent your union in the European federation,
or if you are a member of your company's European Works Council
or perhaps an employee representative on a company's board of directors,
we can help you to communicate more effectively in English.

​Duration
​
Usually, this includes one week group immersion team training (30 hours) or a combination of individual (15 hours) and team training (15 hours) with optional online follow-up support.

Professional English
Vocabulary and language development to communicate about current affairs, the economy, industrial relations, worker representation, working conditions and quality, the European and international business environment, sustainable development , industrial policy and the future of trade unions.

Communication Skills
Develop skills for public speaking, to negotiate and discuss and to facilitate face to face and virtual meetings.
Practise communication for:
- recruiting and organising at grassroots level
- facilitating communication between worker representatives
- engaging youth
- participating in collective bargaining and social dialogue
- representing unions in the European federation
- participating in EWC meetings and socialising.
- increase your intercultural awareness and awareness of yourself and others more generally.
- build networks with other trade union and EWC representatives

Time Out
We can offer a range of social and cultural activities to deepen your knowledge and experience of British history, culture and contemporary developments. Alternatively, we can arrange spa or fitness sessions.

Online follow up
After your course, we can arrange for individual support for language (grammar) and fluency development.​

We can also call on a network of local trade union contacts in order to arrange discussions and guest speakers during your course.
​
​
We will invite you to bring your own real issues to these sessions.
We will provide feedback on your communication style, correct your language errors and add to your vocabulary range.
